PNA ANNUAL
CHOREOGRAPHER'S
SEMINAR
Orchard Lake, Michigan - Over 55
Choreographers and Instructors participated in this year's
Choreographers Seminar which was held at the Orchard Lake
Schools in Orchard Lake, Michigan. Intense sessions for 3 1/2
days were devoted to the dance routines that dates back to many
years of the Polish tradition.
Robert Slizewski, a Choreographer from
Warsaw, Poland imparted his skills and knowledge of the National
Dances, the Mazur, Polonez, Krakowiak, Kujawiak, and Oberek.
Our Instructors and Choreographers were
delighted to learn these new dance suites and were anxious to
take them back to their districts.
Many times I am asked what benefit does PNA
receive from their Youth Course and or Choreographers
Seminars. I believe PNA did well in investing in our youth, our
future. My heart danced with joy when we see instructors of
dance attend the Choreographer's Seminar that graduated from the
Youth Course and continues to be involved.
The Polish National Alliance Educational
Department is extremely proud and grateful to these loyal
representatives and members for instructing our youth.
We would like to extend our thanks to Robert
Slizewski, the Choreographer, and Dorota Suchocka for her
accompaniment as well as to all who made this seminar a success.
To the instructors and choreographers a special thank you for
their dedication, hard work and labor love for the Youth of PNA,
our future.
