MARK J. RELOVSKY ELECTED AS NEW
COMMISSIONER OF DISTRICT 17

Garfield Hts., Ohio - On Monday, March 10, 2008 the new Commissioner, Mr. Mark Relovsky was elected by acclamation after the Nominating Committee reviewed the only application that was submitted.

Mrs. Frances Lisowski, Commissioner of District 17, opened the special election meeting with a request that each member say a prayer in silence because of the Lenten season.

Commissioner Lisowski introduced Mr. Charles Komosa, National Secretary of the Polish National Alliance, who was delegated by President Frank Spula to attend the nomination and election of the new Commissioner.

Commissioner Lisowski introduced the Nominating Committee which consisted of delegates from the National Convention that was held in August 2007. Nominating Committee Chairman Ronald Grams with delegates David Milcinovic, Allan Szuflada, and Richard W. Jablonski were on the committee.

The committee reported the application was in order and Mr. Relovsky was a member in good standing and an active member of his Lodge, Council and District for the last four years as required by the Polish National Alliance's by-laws.

Mr. Komosa administered the oath of office to Mr. Relovsky and made some remarks to the assembly concerning the importance of leadership required by the Commissioners. He also took the opportunity to address the financial secretaries and sales representatives at the meeting and impressed upon them the need for membership sales. Just by contacting their members on their respective Lodge for information on new family members could be a huge source for membership sales.

Mr. Mark Relovsky addressed the assembly and thanked everyone present for their support and he pledged to do all he can to move the District forward in everyway possible. Mr. Relovsky remembered his predecessor Donald Kuczmarski by saying how much he admired Donald and promised he would continue the programs Donald had instituted.

In attendance were Mark's brother Michael, and parents Marie and Michael Relovsky who were so very proud of their son. Marie baked delicious Kolacky which everyone enjoyed after the program. Refreshments and snacks were prepared by Mrs. Ramos.
