MEMORIAL MASS FOR Z. JOHN ORDON
HELD AT HOME OFFICE

Chicago, Illinois - A Memorial Mass honoring the late Z. John Ordon, National Secretary of the Polish National Alliance was held at the PNA Home Office on Tuesday evening, October 30, 2007. A framed photograph of Mr. Ordon sat on the piano alongside the altar for all to view. His Excellency Thomas Paprocki, Auxiliary Bishop of the Diocese of Chicago was the main celebrant of the Mass. Members of the WICI Dance Group accompanied the Bishop during the procession. His altar server was Jacek Predki, and Mr. Wladyslaw Stechly provided music for the congregation.

Earlier that day, the Funeral Service for Mr. Ordon was held in Depew, New York. President Frank Spula, Vice President Paul Odrobina and Treasurer Marian Grabowski were among the many that paid their last respects to him. The three officers had arrived back to Chicago in time to attend the Memorial Mass.

Vice President Teresa Abick handled most of the arrangements at the Home Office, in the short amount of time, with the help of the PNA staff members including: Joan Oskorep, Robert Jadach, Victor Modlinski, John Benedetti, Joanna Stasiak, Adam Maj, Chester Iwan and Bozena Sztukowska. Father Canon Thaddeus Dzieszko, Pastor of St. Constance Church in Chicago provided altar dressings, Holy Books, wine and Communion Hosts. Vice President Paul Odrobina did the reading in Polish, Treasurer Marian Grabowski sang the responsorial psalms and the hymn "Moj Mistrzu" (My Master) and Directors Arthur Trybek, Anna Wierzbicki and Christine Domalewski carried the gifts at Offetory.

Over one hundred people attended the service, including: Pawel Pietrasinski, acting General Consul of Poland, Virginia Sikora, President of the Polish Women's Alliance, Anna Sokolowski, Vice President of the Polish Roman Catholic Union and Camille Kopielski, President of the Polish Ladies Civic Club; PNA Lodge and Council members and officers; PNA National Directors Anna Wierzbicki, Arthur Trybek, Christine Domalewski and Hedy Rabiega; PNA Commissioners of District 12 Barbara Wesolowski and Roman Bucon and of District 13 Irene Hercik and Zenon Olejniczak; Former PNA National Officers Casimir Musielak and Stanley Jendzejec; Former PNA Directors Charles Komosa, Christopher Nowotarski, Marian Nowacki and Steve Tokarski; Former PNA Commissioners Anna Kokoszka (District 12) and Stanley Bogobowicz (District 13); PNA Home Officer Employees. Employees from the PNA affiliate companies, the PNA Bank, Alliance Printers & Publishers, Alliance Communications, and the Dziennik Zwiazkowy; Mark Dobrzycki, Harwood Heights Trustee, and members of the Illinois Division of the Polish American Congress.

President Frank Spula delivered a touching Eulogy to Mr. Ordon on his involvement with the PNA and Polonia back in his hometown of Buffalo, New York.

When the Mass ended, the guests were invited to the cafeteria for refreshments and pastry.
