HOLY TRINITY
CHAMPS AGAIN AT
CANEVIN CLASSIC
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania - Holy Trinity Grade
School of Moon Township, Pennsylvania has won back to back
championships in the Bishop Canevin Grade School holiday
tournament. They beat St. Phillip of Crafton, Pennsylvnia, just
as they beat St. Margaret of Scotland of Greentree, Pennsylvania
last year. Holy Trinity has a very strong team going into this
year's regular season. The tournament was held during the
Thanksgiving Holiday. They should do very well in league and
tournament play leading into the playoffs.
The tournament was sponsored again this year
by West End Pulaski Lodge 1052 and Sammy Pizza. The PNA Home
Office supplied the trophies again this year and was very much
appreciated by everyone involved with the tournament especially
the girls on the winning teams. The trophies were distributed at
half time of one of the Bishop Canevin Varsity Girl's game by
PNA National Director Val Pawlos and past Director Joseph
Kaminski, both of Region "E".
Head coach Tim Joyce of Bishop Canevin
thanked Val Pawlos and Joseph Kaminski, and the PNA Sports &
Youth Department, headed by Vice President Paul C. Odrobina for
all their support throughout the years and hope to see us again
next year.
