PARTICIPATES IN POLISH AMERICAN
NIGHT AT TIGERS STADIUM
Detroit, Michigan - On July 8, 2009, the 39th
Annual Polish American Night at Comerica Park in Detroit once
again took place. Fans of the Detroit Tigers came out to
experience a little bit of Polish Culture before cheering their
team onto a victory over the Kansas City Royals.
Prior to the game a PNA Dance group performed
on the field. Dignitaries were introduced who were on the field
as well which included both PNA Vice Presidents, Teresa N. Abick
and Paul C. Odrobina. They shared the spotlight with President
of the Polish Roman Catholic Union Wallace Ozog, Rev. Tim Whalen
from Orchard Lake, Rev. Walter Ptak, Sister Kurzawa, Ralph
Raczynski, Stella Szczesny (President of Lodge 1758) and two
lucky auction winners Mr. & Mrs. Hicks. They all were introduced
as their live introduction was shown on the scoreboard right
behind them.
The Tigers defeated the Royals with the
Polish American Section giving them moral support and cheering
them on to another win.
