THE FOUR
POLISH FRATERNAL Chicago, Illinois - On Monday evening, June 30, 2008, the four Polish Fraternal Organizations, PNA, PRCUA, PFA, and PWA united once again for an evening to host Polish-American Night at U.S. Cellular Field (Sox Park). Members of the Polish National Alliance, Polish Roman Catholic Union of America, Polish Women's Alliance and Polish Falcons of America cheered on the Chicago White Sox as they defeated the Cleveland Indians. There was two large section representing all the groups that attended the evening baseball game. Six hundred tickets were sold from the groups that made up for the 38,866 fans attending that evening. Prior to the start of the game, Vice President of PNA, Paul C. Odrobina, Vice President of the PRCUA, Anna Sokolowski, Vice President of the PWA, Sharon Zago, Vice President of the PFA, Robert Gorny, President of the PRCUA, Wallace Ozog, and guests Joan Oskorep and Janice Odrobina (wife of Vice President Paul Odrobina) met with Bill "Moose" Skowron and A. J. Pierzynski and had their photo taken with them. The National Anthem was sung by PRCUA member Renee Bober. There was a Polish Dance Group that performed outside the gates of Cellular Field to entertain the fans as they entered the park. A mighty "blast" from the scoreboard rang out numerous times throughout the evening from the grand slam and other home runs by the Sox and again when the final score showing the White Sox victors over the Cleveland Indians. This concluded the third Polish-American Night of 2008. This was the third program the four fraternals sponsored. The next outing will be in October with "Dozin' With The Dinos!"
