PNA SOUTH
SIDE SENIOR
OCTOBER MEETING
Chicago, Illinois - The Polish National
Alliance South Side Senior Group held their annual meeting on
Tuesday, October 27, 2009 at the Mayfield Banquet Hall. This
month, three speakers came to talk to the group.
PNA Vice President Paul Odrobina
introduced Mr. Terrence O'Brien, the President of the Chicago
Metropolitan Water Reclamation, speaking of the facilities and
functions of the water system for the city and announced his
candidacy for Cook County Board President. Mr. Joseph Magielski,
the PNA Director of Membership spoke of the Christmas Promotion
starting on November 15th. Lastly Mr. Mark Dobrzycki from the
Polish Information Center in Chicago, that helps out the
immigrants from Poland and elderly with legal assistance.
Throughout the morning, there were door
prizes given out for those who dressed up for Halloween.
This is the last meeting for the fall. On
November 18th, the seniors will have an outing going to the
Majestc Star Casino in Gary, Indiana and the annual Christmas
Luncheon will be held on December 15th. There are no meetings
scheduled for January. The
next time the South Side Seniors will meet will be in February
of 2010
Vice President Odrobina thanked the Seniors for their attendance
and support throughout the year.
