PNA SOUTH
SIDE SENIOR
MOM AND DAD LUNCHEON
Chicago, Illinois - The Polish National
Alliance South Side Senior Group celebrated Mothers Day and
Fathers Day on Tuesday, June 28, 2011. The Mayfield Banquet Hall
provided accommodations for the 150 guests attending. As the seniors checked in, they were
given a gift.
PNA Vice President Paul Odrobina served as emcee.
He then introduced Directors Arthur Trybek (with his wife Judith),
Christine Domalewski, and
Cecilia Tomaszkiewicz, Commissioner of District 12 Roman Bucon (with his wife
Anna) and Barbara Wesolowski, and former Director Helen Orawiec, former
Commissioners Anna Kokoszka, Chester Krupa and Joseph Calka (District 12),
and his staff Joan Oskorep Robert Jadach,and Krystyna
Bialasiewicz, volunteers who assist during the year included:
Christine Domalewski, Barbara Wesolowski, , Arthur Trybek, Roman and Anna Bucon,
Helen Orawiec, Irene Spiewak, Florence Jadach, Eleanore Jasiorkowski and Loretta Waltee (Loretta were not
able to attend the Luncheon) and his wife Janice. Mr.
Odrobina wished all attending a Happy Mothers and Fathers Day
and acknowledged them with a toast with a glass of wine.
After lunch, a Mom of the Year was selected
by Commissioner Barbara Wesolowski. Harriet Janda was chosen.
She received a bouquet of beautiful Roses in vase. Director
Arthur Trybek selected the Father of the Year, who
was Walter Piekarczyk. He
received a bottle of spirits.
This is the last meeting for the summer. The
next time the South Side Seniors will meet will be in September.
Vice President Odrobina thanked the Seniors for their attendance
and support throughout the year and also thanked his staff and
volunteers who help out with the meetings during the year as
well. The remainder of the afternoon, the seniors enjoyed
dancing to the "Joe Pat" Orchestra, under the
Direction of Frank Gentille, who also provided music
before dinner as well.
