SIDE SENIORS
CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION
Chicago, Illinois - The Polish National
Alliance North Side Senior Group celebrated the Christmas
Holiday on Wednesday, December 9, 2009. The PNA Cafeteria was
decorated very festively. As the seniors checked in, they were
given a gift for Christmas. Although the weather outside was
dreary, the festivities inside were warm and cozy.
PNA Vice President Paul Odrobina was emcee,
and led everyone in
prayer. After the delicious catered lunch, he then introduced President Frank Spula,
who briefly spoke and wished the seniors' the best for the year
ahead. Also introduced were Vice President Teresa Abick,
National Secretary Charles Komosa, National Marian Grabowski,
Commissioners of District 13 Zenon Olejniczak, and former
Commissioner Stanley Bogobowicz (District 13), Vice Presidents
from the Polish Women's Alliance Sharon Zago, Polish Roman
Catholic Union Anna Sokolowski and Polish Falcons Robert Gorny and the volunteers that helped
out at the dinner Janice Odrobina, wife of Vice President Paul
Odrobina, Home Office Staff Joan Oskorep, Krystyna Bialasiewicz, and Robert
Jadach. Sales Director Joseph Magielski reminded that there was
still time to sign up any children and grandchildren for the
Christmas One Time Payment Policy Promotion. The seniors were
introduced to Diann Marsalek a candidate running for Judge in
Cook County where she spoke briefly and joined the officers and
seniors for lunch.
Treasurer Marian Grabowski led the seniors in
singing Christmas Carols in English and Polish. Vice President Odrobina
mentioned that the year ahead, will have more activities,
surprises and speakers.
