PNA DAY - 2009

Yorkville, Illinois - On Sunday, August 18, 2009, the annual PNA DAY family picnic day was held at the Districts 12 and 13 Youth Camp Association in Yorkville, Illinois.

PNA DAY is an annual fundraiser for the benefit of the PNA Youth Camp. Chairing the events this year was Matt Matuszak. A day of many activities took place although the weather was challenging with the day starting out nice then turned rainy in the afternoon. It did not stop the families who came out that day.

The PNA Officials also attended including, President Frank Spula, Vice Presidents Teresa Abick and Paul C. Odrobina, National Secretary Charles Komosa and Treasurer Marian Grabowski, Directors Anna Wierzbicki (on one of the Committees), Christine Domalewski, Cecilia Tomaszkiewicz, and Arthur Trybek, Commissioners Barbara Wesolowski and Roman Bucon (District 12) and Irene Hercik and Zenon Olejniczak (District 13), and PNA Sales Director Joseph Magielski. Thank to all the volunteers who helped out to make this years PNA DAY run smoothly.

The PNA Day Lottery raffle headed by Vice President Odrobina had the lucky lottery number 888 as the winner in the evening. Barbara Olejniczak of Palatine, Illinois was the lucky $1,000.00 winner. The $50.00 other winners included: E. Jason Brych of Garfield Hts., Ohio, Shirley Verdugo-Perez of Riverside, Illinois, Susan Paul of Johnstown, PA., Janet Tuner of Battle Creek, MI., Ed Krawczyk of Pine Green Grove, IL., Council 120 (Zenon Olejniczak) of Palatine, IL., Cris Peterson of Chicago, IL., Chester Wierzbicki of West Chicago, IL., and Bob Bertolotti of Bulger, PA. Vice President awarded the winning check to Mr. Zenon Olejniczak for Council 120 and Mrs. Jadwiga Olejniczak (accepting for Barbara) at the Luau party at the PNA Home Office grounds on August 29, 2009.
