PRESIDENT ODROBINA HONORED
AS GRAND MARSHALL IN POLISH DAY PARADE
Hamtramck, Michigan - On a picture perfect
Labor Day, the annual Polish Day Parade sponsored by the
Michigan Division of the Polish American Congress was held in
the City of Hamtramck, Michigan.
This year our National PNA Vice President
Paul C. Odrobina was honored to be chosen as the parade's Grand
Marshall. Paul was Chairman of the parade for 5 years while
residing in Michigan and served on the parade Committee for 30
years. He was selected to lead the parade after being "roasted"
by his friends at the Polish Day Parade fund raising dinner
earlier this year. He was escorted through the parade route with
his wife Janice, children Katrina and Paul in a 1956 Lincoln
Continental Convertible. The theme of the parade centered around
"our faith".
Paul reviewed the parade with his family from
the reviewing stand at the end of the parade route and later
addressed the crowd about his love for his Polish Heritage.
Afterward, PNA District X hosted a reception
for all PNA participants at the PNA Council 122 Hall.
