COMMISSIONER OF DISTRICT 2
FRANK ZIELINSKI PASSES AWAY

Wallingford, Connecticut - Frank Zielinski, Commissioner of District 2 PNA, passed away on February 27, 2007 suddenly of a heart attack.

Mr. Zielinski was born in Poland on September 28, 1935 and was the son of the late Bart and Anna (Chociaj) Zielinski. He was married to Mary (Czakalski) in 1961 and has two sons John (Barbara) and Edmund (Jackie). He was grandfather to four, Ann Marie, Elizabeth, Jake and Julia. and had several nieces and nephews.

Frank served in the Polish Army and was stationed in Gubin. He moved to the United States in 1959 and was employed by the International Silver Company for 24 years and later employed by the Town of Wallingford, CT for 16 years before his retirement. Frank was a member of the Democratic Town Committee. He was very active with Lodge 513 serving as President for 7 terms. He was elected as Commissioner of District 2 in 2003 at the Denver Convention. Frank also served as President of the Wallingford Pidgeon Club for many years and raised pidgeons as a hobby. He was also a member of the Polish American Congress.
