HONORED BY CITY COUNCIL
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania - Current PNA
National Director Joseph Kaminski and newly elected Director Val
Pawlos, both of Region "E" were summoned to the City of
Pittsburgh Council chambers to be presented with proclamations
by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh.
Councilwoman Teresa Kail-Smith submitted
Joseph and Val to be honored for their work within the Polish
Community and local community activities.
Joe is a member of various fraternal and
Polish organizations such as, Polish American Council, the
Kosciuszko Foundation, Polish Cultural Council, Polish National
Alliance and more. Mrs. Smith expressed how Joe is constantly
involved in all these Polish Organizations. Val was next, and
she expressed her gratitude for all the community effort and
activities Val is involved with: Coaching baseball, football and
softball in different areas of the city and community
involvement were all a part of his proclamation.
Mrs. Smith is a member of PNA Lodge 1052West
End Pulaski and on a personal note she thanked Joe and Val for
their long tenure as officers of the Lodge. There was also a
proclamation given to Connie Zatak representing Polish Fest
which is held each year at the University of Pittsburgh. The day
is filled with fun and food of Polish Heritage for all ages. So
it was resolved that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does
hereby declare, Tuesday, October 25, 2011: "Joseph Kaminski and
Val Pawlos Day" in the City of Pittsburgh.
