WANDA PENAR
RETIRED FROM PNA
Chicago, Illinois - On Friday, December 16,
2011, longtime PNA employee Wanda Penar retired.
Wanda began working at the PNA in the
correspondence department and was put in charge of the Polish
Schools by then President Edward Moskal. She assisted in the
many duties for the Educational Department. In August, Wanda was
elected as a new PNA National Director.
On her last day, Wanda treated the officers,
her co-workers and friends for a retirement luncheon. Some of
her close friends were invited, Commissioners of District 12 and
13 Barbara Wesolowski and Irene Hercik (also a newly elected
Director), Vice President of the Polish Roman Catholic Union
Anna Sokolowski, PNA Censor Wesley Musial, and friends Agnes
Kaminski, Maria Roszek and not to forget, her husband Joseph.
Wanda spoke about her fond memories and said
she is going to remain active with the PNA, but now as a
National Director and will be here just as much as when she
worked here. Wanda presented gifts to Mrs. Teresas Abick and
thanked her for support and friendship and taking her under her
guidance. She also presented gifts to Censor Wesley Musial, Vice
President Paul Odrobina and National Secretary Charles Komosa.
She thanked them as well. President Spula was unable to attend
the luncheon because of another commitment, so Wanda presented a
gift to Mr. Spula and asked his assistant Alicja Kuklinski to
present the token of appreciation to him for her.
Thank you Wanda and Happy Retirement!
