NATIONAL DIRECTOR
REGINA KOBZI PASSES AWAY
Orange, California - Sad news reached the PNA Home Office that former PNA National Director and
Commissioner of District XVI, Regina Y. Kobzi had passed away.
Regina was born January 14, 1925 and raised
in New Kensington, Pennsylvania. She was a member of Lodge 533
until 1964 when the family moved to California. Regina was
employed as a business manager for many automobile dealerships
throughout California, until she retired. Regina was
charter member of Lodge 3193 where she was financial secretary
for over 25 years. In 1983 thru 1991, Regina was elected as
Commissioner of District XVI and ran for National Director at
the California convention where for two terms held that
position. Her son Richard was elected as Director for two terms
after her tenure. She also was a Director of the Southern
California Polish American Congress for four years and was very
active in many local organizations namely, Polish University
Club, Polish American Cultural Network, Polish American
Historical Association and the Helen Modjeska Foundation plus a
founding member of the Pope John Paul II Polish Center in Yorba
Linda, Californina. She was married to Carl
Kobzi for over 50 years and has three sons, Richard (Patty),
Robert (Helen) and Regis (Lisa) and was Grandmother to Matthew,
Wesley, Andrew, Kelsey, Alexander, Jacob, Casey, Kelly, Jason,
Katie and Ryan, and great grandmother to Adian.
