ALFRED B. POMIANOWSKI ELECTED
AS NEW DIRECTOR OF REGION "F"

Chicago, Illinois - The PNA Board of Directors met on Thursday, March 1, 2007, to elect a new Director of Region "F" to fill the vacancy of the late George Brych.

Four candidates applied for the position, which included, William Odahowski, Alfred Pomianowski, David Swejk, and Bernadette Zubel. Each candidate was invited to the PNA Home Office. Mr. Odahowski was not able to attend the election. Each of the candidates gave a statement of why they were seeking the office. After the first vote count, two candidates with the highest amounts were in a run off, Alfred Pomianowski and Bernadetts Zubel. The results from the second vote count found Alfred Pomianowski the winner. President Frank Spula administered the oath of office, to Mr. Pomianowski as a member of the PNA Board of Directors.

Alfred has been a long time member of the PNA. He started out with the Harestwo and was an alumni of Alliance College and also attended the University of South Florida. He is married to Patricia, nee Foszcz, has three children Mark (Dawn), Regina (Ronnie) Scheffler, and Steven (Dawn), and is the proud grandfather to five boys, Matthew, Steven, Kevin, Landon, and Hayden.

Mr. Pomianowski has been active with Lodge 3189 and Council 210 for over 40 years, holding many offices and is a sales agent. Alfred has been a PNA Commissioner for District 11 from 1983-1991, and was the present Commissioner of District 9 since 1999. He has been active and held offices in many organizations; Large BPOE #2159, the American Legion Post #119, the Knights of Columbus Assembly #1448 and Council #4893, the Boy Scouts of America, St. Patrick's Church, and currently President of the Florida State Fraternal Congress.

Alfred has been honored by the Boy Scouts of America, the Knights of Columbus, and the Florida State Fraternal Congress receiving a variety of awards. In his spare time, his hobbies includes stamp collecting, coins, collecting editions of the Zgoda, photography, videotaping, traveling, and Polish and American History.
