PNA AT THE
POLISH HERITAGE
FESTIVAL IN HAMBURG, NEW YORK
Hamburg, New York - The seventh Annual Polish
Heritage Festival was held in Hamburg, New York on May 29 and
30, 2009. There was entertainment, food and vendors, something
for everyone.
The Polish Heritage Dancers of Western New
York had a booth promoting their group as well as the Polish
National Alliance. They also sold shirts, Polish Heritage
Dancers chocolate medallions and magnets.
A pageant was held on Saturday and Corrine
Lasek from the Polish Heritage Dancers and member of Lodge 3085
won the title of Queen of the Polish Heritage Festival. Corrine
will be attending the Course for Polish Folk Dance
Choreographers in Rzeszow Poland for the second year and will be
attending Canisius College in Buffalo, New York in the fall.
The Polish Heritage Dancers of Western New
York were recognized as the Am-Pol Eagle Citizens of the Year in
the category of Heritage and Corrine Lasek was awarded in the
category of Youth. An Awards Luncheon was held at Kloc's Banquet
facility on May 3, 2009. The Am-Pol Eagle Newspaper is the voice
of the Polish American Community in Western New York and are
celebrating their 50th Anniversary this year. You can check out
