PNA PARTICIPATES IN AN EVENING
OF FUN AND FRATERNALISM


Chicago, Illinois - The Polish National Alliance competed in an evening of Bowling against the Polish Falcons of America, The Polish Women's Alliance and the Polish Roman Catholic Union. The four Fraternal Groups gathered together at the Edison Park Bowl in Chicago for the intimate evening of fun and fraternalism.

Sharon Zago, Vice President of the Polish Women's Alliance and Robert Gorny of the Polish Falcons co-organized this event. This is the first of four events that the Fraternal Organizations are in conjunction with. Other events that are planned during the year includes, Polish-American Night at U.S. Cellular Field on April 19th, the Chicago White Sox vs. the Texas Rangers in Chicago headed by PNA Vice President Paul Odrobina, Polish-American Day at Six Flags Great America, in Gurnee, Illinois on June 2nd headed by PRCUA Vice President Anna Sokolowski and a nationwide Children's bowling tournament that is in progress now until the end of June headed by all four Vice Presidents and coordinated by Polish Falcons Vice President, Robert Gorny.

The four teams bowled a three game series each with five bowlers. Representing the PNA team was: President Frank Spula, Vice President Paul Odrobina, Directors Anna Wierzbicki, Marian Grabowski and his friend Jerry Hejna. The team rolled a total series of 2163.

The teams ranked in the following order:

Polish Falcons                                      Series 2347 (First Place)

Polish National Alliance                        Series 2163 (Second Place)

Polish Women's Alliance                      Series 1683 (Third Place)

Polish Roman Catholic Union               Series 1629 (Fourth Place)

The highest games bowled for the men was by PNA's Jerry Hejna with a 214 and Vice President of the Polish Falcons, Robert Gorny with a 203. For the ladies Antoinette Trela-Vander Noot National Director of the PWA rolled a 195.

The winning team received a check for $100.00 that will go towards the Scholarships for the Falcon Members.
