HELEN ORAWIEC CELEBRATES 90TH BIRTHDAY

Chicago, Illinois - Former National Director and Commissioner of District 12, Helen Orawiec was surprised on Sunday, April 10, 2011 with a "Surprise Birthday Party" given by Paulette Kennedy and Christy Krawisz, and members of her family.

Helen was brought to the Menard Center in Oak Lawn that afternoon, thinking she was going to another birthday party for a different family member. When Helen and Paulette arrived there, the surprise was for her. Moved by seeing many of her family and PNA friends, she began to cry tears of joy. She was not expecting this since her birthday is not celebrated until May.

After lunch, Helen went to each table to thank everyone for attending and spoke with her guest. Attending the party, was PNA National Vice Presidents Teresa Abick and Paul Odrobina (with wife Janice), National Directors Arthur Trybek (with wife Judy) and Christine Domalewski, Commisisoner Barbara Wesolowski, Former Director Catherine Dienes, Former Commissioners of Distirct 12 Anna Kokoszka and Joseph Calka (with wife Millie), plus members of her lodge 1577 and Council 143 and other close friends from her PNA extended family.
