SECRETARY Z. JOHN ORDON
PASSES AWAY
Chicago, Illinois - The Polish National
Alliance was saddened of the news that PNA National Secretary
Zdzislaw John Ordon passed away suddenly on Friday afternoon,
October 26, 2007 in his hometown of Buffalo, New York.
He was 66 years old.
Mr. Ordon was the beloved husband of Teresa (Tendorf);
dear father of Richard, Donna (Mark) Ippolito, Mark and Jason (Colene)
Ordon; grandfather of Anthony, Jessica, Breanne, Arielle,
Britani, Ethan, Elise, and Tyler; son of Helen and the late
Teofil Ordon; brother of Jack (Janice) Ordon and Alina (Leon)
Kundrotas; also survived by many nieces and nephews.
John has been active for many years with
the PNA since he joined the organization in 1969. He served as a
Lodge Secretary of Lodge 3085 in Buffalo for 21 years, and
served as President of Council 19 since 1986. John was elected
as Commissioner of District 4 in 1983 for two consecutive terms,
became a Director for two terms starting from 1991, elected as PNA Vice Censor in
1999 until 2005, where he was elected as
National Secretary in 2005 and recently elected for a 4 year
term at the 45th PNA National Convention in Jersey City, New
Jersey. He was President of the Saturday Polish Schools in
Buffalo as well as an active member of the Polish American
Congress, Buffalo Division. He was the Chairman of Budget and
Finance Committee for 4 Consecutive Conventions.
Visitation for Mr. Odron will be Monday
October 29, 2007 at the Pacer Funeral Home, Inc., 2275 George
Urban Blvd. (two blocks east of Dick Rd.) in Depew, New York,
from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. His funeral
will be on Tuesday, October 30, 2007 at 9:30 a.m. to Mass at St.
John Gualbert's Church, also in Depew. A special memorial Mass
for Mr. Ordon will be held at the PNA Home Office, 6100 N.
Cicero Avenue, Chicago, Illinois on Tuesday
October 30, 2007 at 7:00 p.m.
