NOWAK-PRZYGODZKI
ATTENDS FLAG DAY AT NIXON LIBRARY
Yorba Linda, California - On Sunday, June 14,
2009, to celebrate Flag Day, PNA Director Anthony Nowak-Przygodzki
and his family attended a ceremony at the Richard Nixon Library
and Museum. The library had the largest American Flag ever
constructed made from LEGO blocks on display in the lobby
entrance. It's made of some 127,000 LEGO block bricks and
portrays the stars and stripes waving. The vivid showing of
America's colors is 8 feet by 12 feet and weighs 300 pounds. It
conforms to the U.S. Flag Code and is reinforced with a one inch
diameter steel pipe. Also the library hosted a concert by a
choir that sang several patriotic songs. Director Nowak-Przygodzki's
son Nathan, was interested in the exhibit while honoring the
symbol of our nation.
The flag was on display for a month until
July 12th and the Library planned an exciting patriotic event to
celebrate Independence Day.
