KIRK MONTROSE RECEIVES HONORS

McKeesport, Pennsylvania - Kirk Montose is a Junior at the Pennsylvania State University majoring in Nuclear Engineering. He plans to Graduate in June of 2012 and will obtain his Bachelor's Degree. He plans on desining nuclear reactors, because he believes they can provide clean energy for many generations to come.

He is currently a member of the Penn State NASA University Student Launch Intuitive Team. This team competes in a NASA Sponsored rocket competition. The goal is to launch a rocket up one mile and have it collect atmospheric data. He is responsible for the safety and the design on the science payload aboard the rocket. Also, he is a member of the Penn State American Nuclear Society., and currently attends classes where he learns to investigate nuclear materials and their detection systems.

His Grandparents, Bernie and Sally Lesniewski are members of the Polish National Alliance Lodge 352 in McKeesport, Pennsylvania. Bernie is a past president of the lodge. Kirk was also awarded a PNA Scholarship this year.
