CELEBRATED
IN
WARSAW, NORTH DAKOTA
Warsaw, North
Dakota - Sunday, June 14, 2009 was a glorious, sunny day in
Warsaw, North Dakota when 35 members of Lodge 3043 represented
the Polish National Alliance at the celebration of the Feast of
Corpus Christi. St. Stanislaus Church of Warsaw, North Dakota
commemorates the institution of the Holy Eucharist every June
with pomp and great solemnity as it would also be celebrated in
Poland.
The erection of
three special altars on the church grounds took place early in
the morning before the high mass celebrated inside the church.
Upon completion, each altar resembled a small chapel. After
Mass, a beautiful procession recessed from the church to each
altar led by altar servers, PNA Youth members, celebrant Father
John Kleinschmidt and the church congregation. The altars
celebrated the Blessed Mother, St. Joseph and the Sacred Heart
of Jesus.
Individuals and
special groups acted as honor guards under a canopy with the
Blessed Sacrament carried by Father Kleinschmidt. Reaffirming
their devotion to the Holy Eucharist, the entire congregation
walked around the church to the sound of bells ringing and
voices lifted in sacred hymns. Litanies were also recited at
each altar. Other religious items were carried in the
procession, including a framed portrait of Our Lady of
Czestochowa and large banners with flowing ribbons held by PNA
youth members.
