ANNA JASIONOWSKI PASSES AWAY
McKees Rocks, Pennsylvania - On Friday,
September 18, 2009, Anna L. Jasionowski passed away peacfully
with her family by her side. Anna was the wife of the late
Joseph, Mother of the late Joseph Jr., Thomas (Gail) and Irene
(Paul) Nickel. She was a grandmother of seven, great-grandmother
to 11 and great-great grandmother to 4.
Anna
was very active in the Polish National Alliance. She served as
Secretary of Lodge 615 for 38 years, and President of Council
146 for 40 years. Anna was elected as Lady Commissioner of
District 8 for one term in 1967-1971. She was a delegate to many
PNA Conventions and was Chairwoman for the National Convention
that was held in Pittsburgh in 1971. Anna also hosted the first
Debutante Ball in District 8. She was a member of the
President's Club for numerous years for signing up many new
members to the PNA. Anna was honored at the Denver Colorado
convention as the oldest person attending. Her daughter Irene
Nickel is currently the Lady Commissioner of District 8.
Anna loved to garden, dining out and
traveling. Her greatest trip is to Rome Italy, where she had the
opportunity to visit with the Pope. |
