MARYLA SLOMSKI CELEBRATES SURPRISE 30TH ANNIVERSARY

Chicago, Illinois - On Wednesday, September 21, 2011, all the employees were called to the cafeteria for an important meeting at 11:00 a.m. No one knew about the last minute meeting.

PNA Legal Advisor and Former PNA Director Christopher Nowotarski walked in, and coming in with him, the Legal Administrative Assistant Maryla Slomski. It was to her surprise that the meeting (which was really not a meeting) was to salute her for her 30th Anniversary of being employed by the Polish National Alliance.

This honor was given to Maryla from Mr. Nowotarski and the Executive Officers as a thank you for all her hard work in taking care of the legal department in her 30 year tenure. Maryla plans to retire by the end of the year and Christopher wanted to give her this surprise. If you ask, was Maryla surprised, yes she was and at first she was speechless.

Christopher Nowotarski spoke about his working with Maryla, and President Frank Spula shared a few memories and stories. Maryla thanked everyone and said that she was upset at all her neighbors (in the office area) because no one told her about the surprise. She posed with the Executive Officers for pictures and cut the cake.

Afterward, Maryla was given a thank you and anniversary gift by Mr. Nowotarski.
