RICK KRIVDA
INDUCTED INTO
ROCHESTER RED WINGS HALL OF FAME
McKeesport, Pennsylvania - Rick Krivda,
member of Lodge 352 in McKeesport, PA, was inducted in the
Rochester Red Wing Hall of Fame and at age 37, he is believed to
be the youngest of the 72 Red Wing Hall of Famers. Rick played
for the Red Wings from 1993-1997 and again in 2000,
finishing 46-27. He was the tenth best winning percentage (.630)
in club history and is fourth in strike outs (480). In
1997, he went 14-2 with a 3.30 ERA before a late July call up to
Baltimore. He retired from Baseball after the 2003 season and
works several Cal Ripkin Jr. youth baseball camps in Baltimore,
in addition to operating an indoor training center called "Extra
Innings".
Rick is the son of Francis Krivda, President
of Lodge 352 and Jean Krivda. He lives in Perry Hall, Maryland
with his wife Christina and son Zachary, age nine, and daughter
Caroline, age three.
The city of McKeesport has also honored him
by placing an engraved portrait of him at the entrance of Renzi
Park.
