RICK KRIVDA HONORED BY McKEESPORT
AND OTHER NEWS FROM LODGE 352

McKeesport, Pennsylvania - The month of December was a very busy month for the members of Lodge 352 in McKeesport, PA.

The members of the Lodge held a "Toys for Tots" drive and donated many toys to needy children. The toys were donated to the Marines which were picked up at the Lodge.

The Lodges Christmas Party was a huge success as well with many children attending.

The biggest news coming from Lodge 352 in McKeesport was that Olympic Gold Medal Winners Rick Krivda, son of Francis (Rick) and Jean Krivda had been honored by the Mayor of McKeesport James Brewer, along with fellow Olympic Women's Basketball Winner in 2003, Swintalya "Swin" Cash.

The entrance of Renziehausen Park in McKeesport now has a dedication to the two athletes naming the corner of Tulip Drive adn Eden Park Boulevard as "McKeesport's Olympic Corner." The statues are shaped as the Olympic flame with the image of both athletes with their name, and the year they won the Olympic medals.

Rick was a gold medal winner for Baseball in the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games and played on the Winning U.S. Men's Baseball Team. He also pitched professionally for the Baltimore Orioles from 1995 to 1998. Rick now works with the Ripken Baseball Camps for youngsters and the Baseball Factory in Aberdeen, Maryland.
