PNA HOST ANNUAL GOLF OPEN

Chicago, Illinois - The Polish National Alliance hosted their 23nd Annual Golf Open on Monday, June 20, 2011, at the Maple Meadows Country Club in Wood Dale, Illinois. Vice President Paul C. Odrobina chaired the event.

A total of sixty one golfers signed up for this years event on a stormy and wet day, which later proved to be pleasant. Golf Coordinators John Wojciechowski and Richard Piasecki with the help from Joan Oskorep started the foursomes on the first tee to get them off golfing. Robert Jadach took photos of the foursomes,

The PNA Golf Open is a way for us to show our fraternalism and have some fun golfing, and it has been a fundraiser that started twenty three years ago. This year the profit from the Golf Open will help create new and more programs for the PNA Sports and Youth Department.

In the evening, a reception was held in the Maple Meadows Club House banquet room hosting fifty guests who were treated to a delicious buffet. Vice President Paul Odrobina introduced President Frank Spula, Treasurer Marian Grabowski, PNA National Directors Christine Domalewski, Anna Wierzbicki, and Arthur Trybek, Commissioner Irene Hercik (District 13) PNA Controller James Gura, former PNA Vice President Stanley Jendzejec, former National Directors Steve Tokarski and Marian Nowacki, and Larry Chlum President of the PNA Bank. After dinner, Vice President Paul Odrobina thanked his hard working staff, all the golfers, the guests attending the dinner, all the people and companies that sponsored holes for this successful open and the wonderful staff at the Maple Meadows Country Club. The golf awards were presented to the winners by Vice President Odrobina, and Treasurer Grabowski. A special raffle of sport packages for a Chicago White Sox game with parking pass,  a Chicago Blackhawk night with dinner and parking pass, and other prizes concluded the evenings events.
