PNA HOST ANNUAL GOLF OPEN

Chicago, Illinois - The Polish National Alliance hosted their Annual Golf Open on Wednesday, May 13, 2009, at the Maple Meadows Country Club in Wood Dale, Illinois. Vice President Paul C. Odrobina chaired the event.

A total of fifty golfers participated in this years event on a rainy day. Golf Coordinator John Wojciechowski with the help from Richard Piasecki and Joan Oskorep started the foursomes on the first tee to get them off golfing. This year the PNA Bank sponsored the "Beat The Pro" and the "Hole in One" contest. The golf pro joining us was Arthur Rogowski, owner of the Partner Golf Center in Chicago, IL.

The PNA Golf Open is a way for us to show our fraternalism and have some fun golfing, and it has been a fundraiser that started twenty years ago. This year the profit from the Golf Open will help create new and more programs for the PNA Sports and Youth Department.

In the evening, a reception was held in the Maple Meadows Club House hosting seventy guests. Vice President Paul Odrobina introduced President Frank Spula, Vice President Teresa Abick, Secretary Charles Komosa, Treasurer Marian Grabowski, PNA National Directors Christine Domalewski, Anna Wierzbicki, Arthur Trybek, and Cecelia Tomaszkiewicz, Commissioners Barbara Wesolowski (District 12), Zenon Olejniczak and Irene Hercik (District 13) PNA Controller James Gura, former PNA Vice President Stanley Jendzejec, former National Director Christopher Nowotarski, Larry Chlum President of the PNA Bank and Emily Leszczynski, Manager of WPNA and Alliance Printers and Publishers. After dinner, Vice President Paul Odrobina and President Frank Spula addressed the guests. The golf awards were presented to the winners by Vice President Odrobina, his fellow officers and John Wojciechowski.
