PNA HOST ANNUAL GOLF OPEN

Chicago, Illinois - The Polish National Alliance hosted their Annual Golf Open on Monday, May 19, 2008, at the Oak Meadows Country Club in Addison, Illinois. Vice President Paul C. Odrobina chaired the event.

A total of eighty five golfers participated in this years event. Golf Coordinator John Wojciechowski with the help from Richard Piasecki and Joan Oskorep started the foursomes on the first tee to get them off golfing, on the cool and sunny day. This year the PNA Bank helped feature two new games during the golf open, "Beat The Pro" and a chance to "Win A Car" with a hole in one. The golf pro joining us was Drew Pierson a Joliet, Illinois native, now residing in Bonita Springs, Florida.

The PNA Golf Open is a way for us to show our fraternalism and have some fun golfing, and it has been a fundraiser that started nearly twenty years ago. This year the profit from the Golf Open will help create new and more programs for the PNA Sports and Youth Department.

In the evening, a reception was held in the Garden Room in the Oak Meadows Club House hosting seventy guests. Vice President Paul Odrobina introduced President Frank Spula, Vice President Teresa Abick, Secretary Charles Komosa, Treasurer Marian Grabowski, PNA National Directors Christine Domalewski, Arthur Trybek, and Cecelia Tomaszkiewicz, Commissioners Barbara Wesolowski (District 12), Zenon Olejniczak and Irene Hercik (District 13), former PNA Vice President Stanley Jendzejec, former National Directors Steve Tokarski, Christopher Nowotarski, Loretta Chabalowski, and Marian Nowacki, Larry Chlum President of the PNA Bank and Emily Leszczynski, Manager of WPNA and Alliance Printers and Publishers. After diinner, Vice President Paul Odrobina and President Frank Spula addressed the guests. The gold awards were presented to the winners by Vice President Odrobina and John Wojciechowski.
