WELFARE AND
DISTRICTS 12 & 13 SPONSORS
GYPSY NIGHTS WITH CZARDASZ
Chicago, Illinois - On Saturday evening,
February 26, 2011, the PNA Welfare Association along with the
Women's Divisions of Districts 12 and 13 sponsored a "Gypsy
Evening" with Czardasz at the Mayfield Banquet Hall on the
Southwest Side of Chicago. The proceeds of this annual event is
to benefit the needy at Christmas. In the years past, a variety
of dinners and dances have taken place for the annual
fundraiser.
Vice President Teresa N. Abick welcomed the
guests, which included PNA President Frank J. Spula, Vice
President Paul C. Odrobina (and wife Janice), Secretary Charles
Komosa (and wife Agata), Treasurer Marian Grabowski, PNA
Directors Anna Wierzbicki and Christine Domalewski,
Commissioners Roman Bucon (District 12), Zenon Olejniczak and
Irene Hercik (District 13) and former Commissioners Anna
Kokoszka and Stanley Bogobowicz. Organizations that attended
included Polish Women's Alliance, Polish Women's Civic Club,
Legion of Young Polish Women, and the Rej Polish School.
To keep with the theme of the evening, many
women dressed in gypsy fashion. The "Goranie Band" entertained
the attendees with music for dancing.
Vice President Teresa Abick would like to
thank everyone that attended for this worthy cause.
