DISTRICT XII WOMEN'S DIVISION
CHRISTMAS DINNER

Chicago, Illinois - District 12 Women's Division held their annual Christmas Dinner on Tuesday, December 6, 2011 at the beautifully decorated Mayfield Banquet Hall in Chicago, Illinois.

Commissioner Barbara Wesolowski welcomed all present. Guests included National Vice President Teresa Abick, Treasurer Marian Grabowski Director Anna Wierzbicki, Christine Domalewski, Arthur Trybek, Cecilia Tomaszkiewicz, Commissioner of District 12 Roman Bucon, Commissioners of District 13 Irene Hercik and Zenon Olejniczak, Newly elected Directed Directors and Commissioners of District 13 Wanda Penar, Wanda Juda and Joseph Hercik and past Commissioners of District 12 Anna Kokoszka and Joseph Calka.

Prayer was said before the meal, which included intentions to those that were ill and could not be with us and those that recently passed away since last Christmas. Commissioner Wesolowski and Anna Kokoszka also ended the prayers with the breaking of oplaki (holy wafer), with all the guests joining in and wishing those at their tables the best for the holiday season.

After the meal the officers and guests each spoke wishing the best for the Holiday and thanking those that supported them at  the past National Convention in August.

Presents of mini bottles of wine for all were given out courtesty of Commissioner Wesolowski. Mrs. Abick distributed Christmas Cards with a coin enclosed of the Statue of Liberty. The evening ended with a raffle. Commissioner Wesolowski would like to extend her thanks to Irene Spiewak and Elizabeth Kaminski and Committee members who assisted her in the planning of this festive annual event.
