XIII HOLDS ANNUAL
"BREAKFAST WITH SANTA"
Chicago, Illinois - PNA District 13 along
with the Women's Division of District 13, held their annual
"Breakfast With Santa" on Sunday, December 4, 2011 at the PNA
Building. The event was open to all members and nonmembers of
the district; the only thing we asked was that people call in
with reservations so that we knew roughly how many people to
expect. It was a sunny day and we had the most children, who
attended with the parents and grandparents present in the
history of sponsoring this event, wanting to see Santa and
having breakfast with him, and to tell Santa what they wanted
for Christmas.
PNA District 13 Commissioners Irene Hercik
and Zenon Olejniczak welcomed all for attending. A little
history of Christmas was told to all by Commissioner Olejniczak.
Guests in attendance included PNA Vice President Paul C.
Odrobina and his wife Janice, and PNA National Director Anna
Wierzbicki, along with newly elected Directors Wanda Penar and
Irene Hercik. Also present were newly elected Commissioners of
District 13 Wanda Juda and Joseph Hercik.
As Santa came into the hall, he was
entertained by children singing Christmas Carols in English and
Polish by Juliusz Slowacki from the Polish Saturday School
Zespol Gajik Lodge 3241 PNA, and under the choreography of Anna
Strojny. After breakfast each of the
children had their photo taken with Santa (for those who were
not bashful or afraid) and they all received a gift from him
(sponsored by District 13 and the Women's Division) along with receiving a PNA Calendar and coloring book.
We would like to take this opportunity to
thank all those who helped out on this day and behind the
scenes, to make this event a success: Wanda and Jozef Penar,
Wanda Juda, Janina Kopacz, Teresa Winters,
Alexandra Brzezinski, Paulina Zajac, Agata Michalkiewicz, Ela
Wierzbicki, Natalia Tomczyk, (debutante 2010), Krystyna Sowa,
Karina Sowa, Matt Matusiak, Irene and Joseph Hercik, Stella
Wierzbicki, Genowefa Marud, and Zenon Olejniczak.
