MILDRED CALKA SELECTED WOMAN OF
THE YEAR OF DISTRICT 12

Chicago, Illinois - At a special ceremony during the PNA South Side Seniors meeting of Tuesday, October 23, 2007, Mrs. Mildred Calka was named as District 12 Woman of the Year.

Mildred is the wife of former District 12 Commissioner Joseph Calka. She has been Secretary of Council 55 for many years and very active in Lodge 825 Cicero Society. Millie was unable to the the Sunday, October 21, 2007 District 12 Convention due to a prior commitment. The Commissioners of District 12 Barbara Wesolowski and Roman Bucon, along with PNA Directors Christine Domalewski and Arthur Trybek surprised Mrs. Calka at the start of the South Side Meeting and was presented a red rose and a crystal pitcher.

Former Commissioner Chester Krupa was selected Man of the Year on Sunday, October 21, 2007 at the District 12 Convention. (no photo available at this time).
