DISTRICT IV CONVENTION

Rochester, New York - Polish National Alliance District IV came together in Rochester, New York on Saturday, October 24, 2009 at the PAC Club. Our hosts for this years convention were Council 27 and Lodge 512. Our Polish National Alliance Dignitary from Chicago was Paul C. Odrobina, PNA National Vice President. Also present was Director of Region "C", Martin Jackson.

The convention was called to order with a prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance, and the singing of the United States National Anthem and the Polish National Anthem. A moment of silence was observed for all deceased members of the District IV.

The rules of convention, Section 104 of the current PNA By-Laws was read by Director Martin Jackson. The delegates were then given the oath by National Vice President Paul C. Odrobina.

District IV Commissioners Fran Palaszynski and Conrad Sobczak addressed the delegates and guests as to their previous activities as Commissioners.

PNA National Vice President, Paul C. Odrobina, and Director of Region "C" Martin Jackson also addressed the delegates and guests as to information and suggestions to assist District IV.

Ann Holby of Lodge 2205, of Erie, Pennsylvania, was appointed District IV Secretary, and Theresa Kocienski of Lodge 271 of Syracuse, New York was elected as District IV Treasurer. Both were sworn in by Mr. Paul Odrobina.

Theresa Kocienski - Syracuse, New York

A great luncheon was served and enjoyed by all. A great DZIENKUJE goes out to Council 27 and Lodge 512 for hosting this year's District IV Convention and we look forward to more conventions in the future.
