THE FINAL DAY OF THE CONVENTION -
SATURDAY, AUGUST 25, 2007

Jersey City, New Jersey - The third day of the 45th PNA National Convention started with Mr. Lawrence Chlum, president of the PNA Bank presenting his report to the delegation.

Before lunchtime, Mr. Richard Jablonski (2nd Vice Chairman) introduced the candidates seeking a position with the PNA. The candidates for Man and Woman Commissioner were introduced, followed by the candidates for National Directors, and concluding with National Officers including Censor and Vice Censor. Guest were asked to leave the convention hall while the elections were taking place. In the early afternoon, the assembly resumed for the election results. Delegate Wanda Juda of District 13 read the results. A run off was held for the Censor, Director of Region "G", and Man Commissioner of District 13 race.

The final order of the day were the readings of the English and Polish Resolutions. The PNA Home Office Staff was introduced by Mr. Spula, where he praised them for their professionalism and the excellent job they performed during the convention week. Ms. Melanie Tomaszkiewicz officially finishing the session singing "Zwiazek Narodowy" anthem. She was accompanied by Censor Hilary Czaplicki and Treasurer Casimir Musielak. The convention was then closed.

Later that evening was the installation banquet and presentation of the National Debutantes and Squires. Mrs. Sophie Dul (Commissioner of District 5) welcomed the 350 guests. She introduced Mrs. Christine McMullan (former President of the PNA of Brooklyn) as the Master of Ceremonies. The Presentation of Colors were done by the Polish Army Veterans of Post 99 while Ms. Danusha Sanchez, sang the National Anthems.

PNA Vice President Teresa Abick introduced the Debutantes and Squires. A brief profile of each of them was read by the Lady Commissioner in their District. The Debutantes and Squires presented were: Kristin Sroka and Gregory Sroka (District 1), Karolina Dudzik (District 2), Sarah Rose Hofmann and Mark Joseph Napierkowski (District 4), Dominika Zylik (District 5), Bethany Ann France and Gregory Johnstone (District 6), Shaina Dymond (District 7), Marie Terese Koly (District 9), Stephanie Renee Buchalski and Steven Budzisz (District 10), Katarzyna Olcon (District 12), Basia Lewandowski and Thomas Lesny (District 13), Ashley Kilichowski and Dustin Leigh Riskey (District 14), Jennifer Nicole Overhage and Salvatore P. Muffeletto Jr. (District 15) and Kelsey Lynn Kobzi and Matthew Jaroslawski (District 16).

Censor Hilary Czaplicki installed the newly elected officers. He began with the Man and Lady Commissioners, The National Board of Directors and the Elected Officers that include the Censor and Vice Censor.

Invocation was given by His Excellency Tadeusz Bronkowski, the Bishop of Lomza, Poland. A toast was delivered by the newly elected Vice Censor, Irene Grabowy.

After dinner remarks were given by President Frank J. Spula. Bouquets of roses were given to Mrs. Lottie Kubiak, Mr. Hilary Czaplicki and Mr. Casimir Musielak They each spoke to thank everyone for their many years serving the PNA.

Newly elected Director and Local Chairman Tadeusz Kutarba also delivered a thank you on behalf of the Local Committee. Fr. Andrew Ostaszewski, Pastor of St. Casimir R.C. Church delivered the Benediction. The remainder of the evening was dancing and enjoying the music provided by the band "Waly Chrobrego".
