46th PNA QUADRENNIAL NATIONAL CONVENTION:
FIRST DAY OF DELIBERATIONS

Minneapolis, Minnesota - August 19, 2011, the inaugural session of the 46th PNA Quadrennial was called to order by Censor Wesley Musial. Presentation of the American, Polish and PNA Logo Flags carried by the official standard bearers, Walter Cygan, Joseph Penar and Adam Kopacz which officially opened the session.

The Credential Committee was called for their report. Chairman Kristofer Andrzejewski reported that final count of 229 representatives were present. The next order was to elect the convention officers. Elected as the Official Convention Administration were: Convention Chairman, Christopher Nowotarski, First Vice Chairman, Christine McMullan, Second Vice Chairman, John Mailloux, Third Vice Chairman, Irene Grabowy,  Secretary, Christine Tarchala, Assistant Secretary Mary Srodon, Sergeant At Arms, Wanda Kotch-Ray, and Doorkeeper Judith Trybek.

Honored guests to speak to the delegation included Mr. Joseph Annotti, President and CEO of the American Fraternal Alliance, Mr. Joseph Drobot, President of the Polish Roman Catholic Union of America, Mr. Timothy Kuzma, President of the Polish Falcons of America and Mr. Maciej Cybulski, Managing Director of the State of Illinois European Economic Development Office.

The Ladies Luncheon held in the noon hour was emceed by Vice President Teresa Abick. She honored the Women Directors, namely Vice Censor Irene Grabowy, Directors Teresa Buckoski, Bernadette Zubel, Christine Domalewski, Teresa Struziak-Sherman, Anna Wierzbicki, Barbara Martin, Cecelia Tomaszkiewicz, Hedy Rabiega, Commissioners Jeannie Zapala, Grazyna Krupa, Barbara Blyskal, Frances Palaszynski, Krystyna Konopka, Renata Jodlowski, Carol Ann Matiko, Irene Jasionowski-Nickel, Ann Marie Gdula, Gloria Platek, Wanda Kotch-Ray, Barbara Wesolowski, Irene Hercik, Sandra Schuster, Mary Wozniak, Ania Karwan and Jane Ptak. Each of them received a gift.

Entertainment during the luncheon was provided by the members of the Waldron family.

The afternoon session had reports given by PNA President Frank J. Spula, Censor Wesley Musial, Mr. Steve Griffith the Actuary for the PNA, Mr. Lawrence Chlum, PNA Bank President, and the PNA Sports and Youth Committee Chaired by Mr. Val Pawlos.

The evening for the delegates was a "free night". A film was shown in the convention hall, "The Officer's Wife" by Polish Director and Producer Piotr Uzarowicz, for those who did not partake on any of the activities sponsored by the Local Convention Committee.
