PNA CO-SPONSORS SECOND ANNUAL
CLASSIC AND ANTIQUE CAR SHOW

Chicago, Illinois - The Polish National Alliance along with the Sauganash Chamber of Commerce and Midwest Motor Shows, hosted the second annual Classic and Antique Car Show on the grounds of the PNA Home Office.

The day started off blustery then turned hot and humid. Dave Hartman registered two cars for the show. Jackie Boland, President of the Sauganash Chamber of Commerce and PNA President Frank Spula organized the volunteers, who set up on the PNA grounds with a stage, food, and informational booths for the thousand of car enthusiasts that came out to view the classic cars. Classic motorcycles were shown as well. Cars were entering the show till 4:30 p.m. towards the end of the day. A total of eighty two cars were in line for viewing.

In the afternoon the Younger Wici Dancers performed Jive Dance number and Ballroom dancing, under the instruction of Wojciech Kozlowski, Cosmos Six and Circular Soul performed on the music stage. Oldies music played throughout the day to set the mood, to go with the eras from the cars.

A special coloring contest for children occurred throughout the day with Kelly Sheridan age 4 and Magdelena Pukal age 4 were winners. They were awarded special trophies along with a toy car.

Throughout the day, judges went around to all the participating cars to select the best of the show. The judges included PNA Officers and Directors as well as members of the Sauganash Chamber of Commerce. The selected winners in eighteen categories.

President Frank Spula would like to thank everyone that participated in the car show, the vendors that had booths and the volunteers that assisted, which included: National Secretary Charles A. Komosa, National Treasurer Marian Grabowski, PNA Directors; Christine Domalewski and Cecilia Tomaszkiewicz; Commissioner of District 13 Zenon Olejniczak, PNA employees John Wantuch, Mary Wieczorkiewicz, John Benedetti, Victor Modlinski, Robert Jadach, Joseph Magielski, Anna Burszczyk, Bozena Sztukowski, Adam Maj, Chester Iwan, Wojciech Wierzewski, Mary Sloniec, Jozefa Weglarczyk, Elzbieta Onak, from PNA Bank, Jolanta Walaszak, Basia Styczen and Ewa Mierczarek; Melanie Tomaszkiewicz, Tomasz Pilewski, Robert Pukal, Bartosz Pukal, Piotr Walczak, Dennis Hammer, Piotr Latallo, Club "Sokol" (President Ms. Dzika), Gregory Grden, Mary Lou Quinn, Jenise Celestin, Stephanie Hammer, Kelly Leggett, Jessica Jafari, Tom Boland, Jackie Boland from the Chamber of Commerce and David Hartman and his wife Sue and son that registered all the cars.
