PNA CO-SPONSORS FIRST ANNUAL
CLASSIC AND ANTIQUE CAR SHOW

Chicago, Illinois - The Polish National Alliance along with the Sauganash Chamber of Commerce hosted the first annual Classic and Antique Car Show on the grounds of the PNA Home Office. Sponsors who also contributed to the show included, Alderman Margaret Laurino (39th Ward in Chicago), BQS Realty, City Volkswagon, Connolly Cosmetic Dentistry, Imperial Realty, Monestero's Ristorante & Banquets, North Shore Community Bank & Trust, Precision Plating Co. Inc., Reichert Chevrolet & Buick in Crystal Lake, Swedish Covenant, Whole Foods Market in Sauganash, as well as the Alliance Printers and Publishers, WPNA Radio 1490 AM, and Alliance FSB (which is changing their name to PNA Bank in August).

The day started off blustery. Dave Hartman registered twenty five cars for the show. Jackie Boland, President of the Sauganash Chamber of Commerce and PNA President Frank Spula organized the volunteers, who set up on the PNA grounds with a stage, food, and informational booths for over the one hundred car enthusiasts that came out to view the classic cars.

In the afternoon the Younger Wici Dancers performed Jive Dance numbers. The Vertus Band performed in the PNA garage. Oldies music played throughout the day to set the mood, to go with the eras from the cars.

Throughout the day, judges went around to all the participating cars to select the best of the show. The judges were PNA Officers and Directors as well as members of the Sauganash Chamber of Commerce. The selected winners in sixteen categories. One judge mentioned that that it was difficult to select a winner in certain categories if you are not that familiar with cars.

President Frank Spula would like to thank everyone that participated in the car show, the vendors that had booths and the volunteers that assisted, which included: PNA Vice Presidents Paul Odrobina and David Milcinovic; National Secretary Z. John Ordon; PNA National Directors Marian Grabowski and Arthur Trybek; PNA Commissioner of District 13 Stanley Bogobowicz; PNA Employees Adam Maj, Chester Iwan, Victor Modlinski, Joan Oskorep, Bozena Sztukowska, Joseph Magielski, Robert Jadach, Wojciech Wierzewski, Rich Piasecki, Richard Nisiewicz, Agata Kopacka, Ken Widelka and his son; from Alliance FSB, Lisa Formanski, Jolanta Walaszak and Vickie Platek; Jackie Boland from the Chamber of Commerce and David Hartman and his family that registered all the cars.
