Registration

A Resident Overnight Co-Ed Camp for Boys and Girls Ages 6-13
Session I: July 13 - 19, 2008     Session II: July 20-26, 2008

Send a $25.00 registration fee per child accompanied with the application. The registration fee is nonrefundable after July 1st, but is credited against the tuition. PLEASE MAKE ALL CHECKS PAYABLE TO: CAMP STANICA.

Parents can make special arrangements with camp for late registrations. A completed medical form must accompany each camper.

Staff

Camp personnel are managed by a Camp Director and will be assisted by a waterfront safety instructor, arts and crafts instructor, junior and senior counselors, cooks, a registered nurse, and many volunteers.

Objectives

A. Appreciation of the outdoors through the study of woodlands, plants, and animal life.
B. Instruction in physical fitness through swimming, water safety, and field sports.
C. Recreation through folk crafts and dances.
D. Each camper is assured an opportunity to meet and make new friends.

A flexible program offers a wide variety of interests, which may be modified by the Director:

Equipment Checklist

  • Flashlight
  • Plastic bag for soiled clothing
  • Baseball glove
  • Fishing rod
  • Warm jacket
  • Sun hat or cap
  • Sturdy tie shoes and sneakers
  • Raincoat, boots/rubbers, and umbrella
  • Bed linen - 1 pillow, 2 pillowcases, 2 sheets, 2 blankets; sleeping bag is optional as mattresses cover metal frame cots
  • Toilet articles - 4 towels and facecloths, personal grooming supplies
  • Clothes - one week's supply of pajamas, socks, shorts, jeans, slacks, shirts, blouses, underwear, sweatshirt, and sweater
  • Bathing suit and beach towel (Pack into suitcase, duffle bag, or footlocker and mark all equipment and clothing with camper's name. All lost and found articles will be held at the main Lodge until Labor Day for your convenience.)
  • Spending money (Camper may use money on field trips for his\her own personal use.)

Sponsorship

Camp Stanica is sponsored by the volunteer board of directors of the Polish Alliance Youth Camp, Inc. and is operated as a tax-exempt, non-profit organization. Camp fees are kept low due to donations from generous contributors. Gifts of any size are welcome and are tax deductible.

Camp Rules

  1. A camper is expected to enter camp at the beginning of a Session on Sunday at 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. A camper is expected to leave camp on the following Saturday, NO LATER THAN NOON. The only exceptions are campers registered for consecutive weeks who may remain at camp on Saturday between sessions. A $25.00 fee will be charged for each camper who stays between sessions.
  2. Each camper must have a doctor complete the enclosed physical examination form.
  3. A daily program will be posted on a bulletin board at the front of the Main Lodge and the camper is expected to cooperate fully with the day's event.
  4. All injuries must be promptly reported to the Camp Nurse.
  5. Visitors are welcome on Sunday when the camper is introduced to the camp staff and provided a tour of the facilities between 2:00 and 4:00 p.m.
  6. The camp application must be returned no later than July 1. Please direct all inquiries and make checks payable to:

If you have a friend or relative who you think might be interested in coming to camp, please send us their name and address and we will mail them a camp brochure.
