CAMP STANICA
Bondsvile, Massachusetts

Basic Information

LOCATION:

Camp is located on shores of Browns Pond/Crystal Lake, Bondsville, Mass. From Springfield, camp is reached by following Route 20 East to Palmer, take left at lights onto Route 181 and follow for three miles towards Bondsville. Turn left on Fuller Street at the Bondsville Industrial Park where camp signs will indicate the road. From the Massachusetts Pike take Palmer Exit #8, turn right onto Route 32 and follow to Main Street, Palmer; turn right at lights and follow, then bear right at lights onto Route 181 and follow same as above to Bondsville.

FACILITIES:

Camp Stanica is situated on 40 acres of grassy fields and woods with the Swift River and Browns Pond/Crystal Lake providing for fishing, swimming, and hiking. A barn provides for games, gymnastics, dancing, and arts & crafts. The Main Lodge provides the kitchen facilities and dining room, quarters for resident staff personnel, an infirmary under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, a TV room, and separate restrooms and showers. Ten cabins are equipped with metal frame cots and mattresses. Although the camp enjoys the relaxation of outdoor living, the Town of Palmer Fire and Police Departments as well as the Wing Memorial Hospital are within four miles.
